Lauren Spinner is a freelance artist and graphic designer working out of her studio in the village of Cumberland, located on Vancouver Island, BC. Lauren loves imperfection; her work is distinguishable by her incorporation of organic, hand-drawn shapes and lines. Living on the beautiful, rugged, west coast of Canada, Lauren often draws inspiration from her natural surroundings; the forest, the ocean, and the stormy winter season that befalls the region. Lauren adores working with her hands. Since she was a little girl she has always found peace and mental clarity in creative time. As an adult, she is trying to reconnect with, and let her creativity run wild, every chance she can get.

A quote that has really resonated with me over the past few years is “comparison kills creativity.” Don’t look at what other people are doing around you. Create for you and how it makes you feel.

Lauren has 9 years of professional graphic design experience. Her branding and design work can be recognized by her frequent incorporation of her own hand-drawings. Each logo and design Lauren creates is unique and unconventional—design that sets you apart from the norm.
